Grandstand Design Features:
• Total bleacher seating capacity: 1,700
• Powder coated structural steel understructure
• Powder coated steel vertical picket guardrail system
• Slip resistant aluminum welded deck walking surface
• Two triple wide entry/exit locations with stairs and ramp
The existing site conditions provided another challenge to the Dant Clayton design team. With virtually no room in the front, rear or sides of the grandstand’s footprint, the bleachers had to be designed with both the stairs and the ramps exiting to the rear through the bleacher system. To further complicate matters both of the bleacher ramps had to be modified in the field to accommodate the existing concrete elevations. The coordination between Dant Clayton’s design personnel, fabrication personnel, and field installation personnel resulted in a highly successful grandstand seating project and a very happy customer.
