Grandstand Design Features:
• Total bleacher seating capacity: 3,164
• Center VIP section with bleacher chair seating
• Powder coated steel vertical picket guardrail system
• Handicap seating located at the front of the bleacher walkway
• Slip resistant aluminum welded deck walking surface
The undulating site conditions provided numerous challenges for the Dant Clayton design team and the project architectural firm. The grandstand, including the stairs and ramps, along with the buildings underneath, had to be designed to fit the land contours and maintain their integration. The coordination between Dant Clayton and the architect was particularly important, as the structural steel of the bleacher system tied-in and was supported by the steel in the buildings below. The finished product is a masterful blend of bleachers, buildings, and masonry.
