Grandstand Design Features:

 

•           Total bleacher seating capacity:  462
•           Individual bleacher chair seating
•           Bleachers are elevated 9’ from field
•           8’ x 54’ dual-sided press box (shared with soccer/track field)

 

As was the case with the soccer/track field bleachers, the design of the softball grandstands involved not only the spectator seating, but the shared utilization of the dual-sided press box. Another design issue was the elevation of the grandstand seating to clear the dug-outs below. The Dant Clayton project team developed a solution that provided 3 separate grandstands, elevated 9’, connected with a mitered front walkway. The elevation also allowed masonry buildings to be placed under bleachers. A unique and complex two-venue bleacher project using one press box was successfully completed.
