Louisville’s own Trinity High School will open the 2013 football season this evening at home against Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth in a game that will be nationally televised by ESPNU.  Dant Clayton designed and constructed Marshall Stadium, home of the 2011 Class 6A National Champions, back in 2006.

Both teams have won three consecutive state championships in their respective classes, and each enters tonight’s match-up with national rankings in the USA Today Super 25.  Trinity holds the No. 2 position, while the Tigers are listed at the No. 18 spot.

ESPN will have a crew on Trinity’s campus today filming segments with students.  The network will also be highlighting the Shamrocks' successful football history, complete with 21 state championships, during timeouts tonight.

The Trinity-Ensworth game will air at 8PM (EST), and is one of 13 that will be broadcast by ESPN’s family of networks this weekend as part of its annual High School Football Kickoff.
