Dant Clayton will be one of hundreds of companies across the nation facing off in a tournament-style social media challenge kicking off tomorrow.  The Business Journals’ Social Madness competition will measure the growth of each participating company’s social media presence by tracking the amount of activity and followers on their Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn pages over the duration of the challenge.

The opening phase of the competition begins on Friday, June 1st and ends on Monday, June 18th.  Dant Clayton will begin by going head-to-head with other companies of similar size in the Greater Louisville area.  Participants will be ranked based on a scoring algorithm that measures social influence. At the conclusion of the first round, the eight companies with the most points advance to compete for a spot in the national bracket phase.  In the end, the top three winners across the country will receive $7,500 to donate to the charity of their choice.

Should Dant Clayton be fortunate enough to finish in one of the top three spots of the competition nationally, the $7,500 winnings would be donated to Gutermuth Elementary School.  The school, located in Louisville, Kentucky, is working to raise money to build a fitness walking track around their building, in an effort to promote health and wellness for students, faculty, and staff.  Residents in the nearly 1,300 homes in Gutermuth’s Cloverleaf Neighborhood would also receive access to the track, therefore bringing together the community and encouraging healthy lifestyles for everyone in the area.
